Aero testing, without the wind tunnel

The air is costing you time. Find out how much.

Upload a ride from your bike computer. AeroEdge works out how well you cut through the air, then tells you what that is worth in minutes on your race course. No sensor needed. Free to start.

Sunlive AeroEdge Hour Record Day · 4 June 2026

One day. Three records.

48.947 km

Jonas Bohr

UCI Masters 60 hour record. The old mark was 48.147 km.

47.581 km

Octávio Cardoso

Portuguese hour record, with the strongest last 5 minutes of the day.

44.536 km

Gustavo Gaspary

The first homologated Brazilian hour record.

AeroEdge organised the day, with Sunlive. All three records are on our Instagram, @aeroedge1.

A real result, in public

One handlebar. 84 seconds.

Ascent Bikes asked us to test their Aeroo handlebar before launch. Same rider, same bike, same aero position on the hoods, two bars. They published our full report, so you can read every number.

84 sfaster over 40 km at 300 W. Aeroo bar against a 42 cm round bar, same aero hoods position. CdA 0.307 down to 0.285.
3 min 34 sfaster over 40 km at 300 W. Aeroo bar in the aero hoods position against the 42 cm bar ridden on the hoods.

How it works

Three steps. No sensor.

01

Upload a ride

Any file from your bike computer. You need a power meter. A wind sensor makes the number sharper, but you do not need one.

02

Get your number

In seconds you see how well you cut through the air, and how much you can trust it. If the ride cannot give a fair number, we say so.

03

See it in minutes

Upload your race course. AeroEdge rides it for you, with the forecast wind, and gives you your race time.

What you get

Test it. Race it. Take it with you.

Test

Know which setup is faster

Helmet, suit, position, bottles. Run each one, and AeroEdge tells you which change is real. If the difference is smaller than the day's own scatter, it says so.

Your time on your course

Your number, your power, the real terrain and the forecast wind. You get a race time, and a plan for how hard to ride each part of the course.

The plan on your Garmin

Export the pacing plan as a Garmin workout. Each power target starts where the course says it starts. Zwift and spreadsheet files too.

Who built this

An engineer who raced.

Bernardo Gonçalves co-founded AeroEdge in 2022. We built the app because we wanted a number we could defend to a rider, not one we had to apologise for later.

  • MSc in Mechanical Engineering: test, measurement and validation
  • Professional cyclist, 2020 to 2024
  • Hundreds of aero tests for professional riders and teams since 2022
What riders say

Faster, in their words.

“Approximately 40 W saving at race pace this year with AeroEdge, through 2 remote and one in-person session. Incredible knowledge and service!”Jack Hutchens · pro triathlete
“It was clear that AeroEdge knows what they are doing, and understands the advantages and drawbacks of each piece of equipment.”Sérgio Marques · 2022 European champion, long distance triathlon, AG 40-44
“The scientific method used by AeroEdge allowed me to improve my performance in every single competition I have done since.”Nuno Rodrigues · Portuguese national champion, Olympic triathlon, AG 35-39

Questions

Answered straight.

Do I need a wind sensor?

No. AeroEdge reads any ride file off your bike computer and works your number out from your power, using the real weather for the time and place you rode. A wind sensor (Notio, GiBLI or Aerosensor) measures the wind every second instead, which tightens the number. AeroEdge reads all three.

How accurate is it?

Accurate enough to catch a real change, and honest about the rest. Every result comes with its working: the trace, the settings, and how much your own repeat laps disagreed with each other. We would rather show you that than print a percentage we cannot back up.

What does a number like 0.250 mean for me?

On its own, not much, which is why we turn it into time. We take your number, put it on your real race course with the forecast wind, and tell you what it is worth in minutes at your power.

Which rides work best?

An out-and-back on a quiet road, or laps of a loop or a velodrome. A one-way ride cannot give a fair aero number, so for those AeroEdge shows your power figures instead of guessing.

Who owns my data?

You do. We keep your original files exactly as you uploaded them and you can download them whenever you want. If you leave, your data leaves with you.

Your next test day, done properly.
